Dr. Stephen Momberg and Save The Giraffes Partnership

Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, one of Texas’s most recognized wildlife conservation destinations, is proud to announce a new partnership with Dr. Stephen Momberg, Director of Veterinary Care & Research Programs for Save the Giraffes. Through this partnership, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch will provide Dr. Momberg with workspace and access to the Ranch’s diverse collection of animals to support his conservation research efforts.

Dr. Momberg, an accomplished zoologist and wildlife veterinarian, brings extensive experience in veterinary medicine and wildlife research. Born and raised on a farm in South Africa, he earned degrees in zoology from the University of the Free State and a veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in Hungary. His work has spanned rhino conservation, mixed veterinary practice in the UK, and groundbreaking giraffe research expeditions.

At Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, Dr. Momberg will conduct research on various species, with a special focus on giraffes. The Ranch is home to more than 40 species of animals from around the globe and is celebrating the birth of its 60th giraffe – a milestone that highlights its long-standing commitment to conservation and responsible breeding programs.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Save the Giraffes and support Dr. Momberg’s important work,” said Tiffany Soechting, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch Animal Specialist. “His research will not only benefit our conservation efforts here at the Ranch but will also contribute to giraffe conservation initiatives nationwide. This partnership is a meaningful step forward in our shared mission to protect these magnificent animals for generations to come.”
