Clearing dining areas and ensuring a smooth flow at the Safari Camp Grill allows for conversations about guests' experiences and their memorable encounters, particularly with the ostriches. Animal Care Staff
The well-being of the animals in our care is our top priority. This position entails providing daily care for assigned animals, including food preparation, feeding, monitoring diets, watering, enrichment, assessing animal behavior, observing medical and behavioral changes, and providing behavioral stimulation. It may also involve assisting with prescribed medical treatments under the guidance of our veterinarian. Cleaning and maintaining animal exhibit areas, disinfecting enclosures, and performing necessary maintenance tasks are also important responsibilities. Effective communication with other animal care staff is essential, as is maintaining detailed records on all animals. A thorough understanding of all species at Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch is required, and sharing educational information with guests reflects our commitment to animal care standards. Those who demonstrate a strong educational background, passion for their career, and effective communication skills may be promoted to a cross-trained position hosting guests for Safari Adventures Guided Tours.

Responsibilities include general grounds maintenance, mowing, waste removal, and watering the landscape. A genuine interest in all the species that call NBWR their safe home is essential. Safari Rangers engage with guests throughout the Safari Drive-Thru, addressing a variety of questions. Those who demonstrate a strong passion for sharing knowledge and educating guests may be promoted to a cross-trained position as a Safari Adventures Tour Guide.

Maintaining the health of hundreds of animals across expansive acres is a significant responsibility for this position. It involves tasks such as diet distribution, fencing maintenance, animal healthcare, and observation. Additionally, this role plays a crucial part in connecting visitors to our mission and ensuring their support by providing exceptional care and service. The maintenance of visitor facilities, along with supporting visitor services, is another important aspect, encompassing landscaping, traffic control, and grounds maintenance. While most Safari Ranch Hand Staff are full-time, part-time positions are also available. Having advanced skills, including experience operating heavy machinery, welding, ranching, woodworking, electrical work, and plumbing, is advantageous.
